NKIRU ANUMUNDU: HER STYLE SENSE... DO WE SAY "BRAVO OR "HELL NO!"?

There's this saying that goes: "Dare to be different".... but how much of a dare is considered as "too much", "over the top" and "outrageous"? There's also another that goes: "Have fun with fashion"..... but also i'm forced to ask "how much fun can one have with fashion without looking like a clown in the end?"

No one is perfect, there are trials and errors.... we all want to get it right. Being a fashionista or a trend setter ain't an hours work, nor a day's work... no be beans!

Nkiru Anumundu is noted to be one of Nigeria's fashionistas and socialites. Apart from been the executive director of global motors, she is also noted for her wonderful and sometimes eccentric neck pieces and hats. She's known to grace social events and is quite a woman to look out for, either to "wow" you or to make you go "Urrgh" or simply confused. To some of her ensembles I say "kudos" while to some.... |(coughs)

Now the pictures below are some of her style including what she wore to Lagos Fashion and Design Week last Wednesday, and I was forced to ask myself: "how did she get into her car with that pineapple on her head?" ( if she was driven, it'd be hard sticking to driving regulations if she was at the back seat, lol) and secondly, "what's up with the white colored, mismatched foundation on her face?".... It's almost like her face had a mind of its own and came separately to the party while the rest of her body walked in much later!.... or are we missing the big picture?

Are we looking at Naija's own Lady Gaga?...... and ooh! did you also notice the pineapple clutch bag?

Oh well, i'm a fan of this last one.. :)

KHLOE KARDASHIAN SAYS: "COME FOR ME ALL YOU WANT, BUT LEAVE THEM ALONE!"

The Kardashians are obviously fedup with all the rumours about their family. Well, I would if I were in their shoes. She posted this munch off her twitter timeline on to her instagram page. And here, she seems to be protecting her younger ones from verbal banters and rumours... How sweet!

Apparently a picture of her little sisters at a concert she put up was taken to be of the little kardashians at a club, and you know how quick people are to lash out insults and abuses!...
Words sure kills and are very hurtful, worse than a blow!

BE INSPIRED: FASHION, STYLE, SWAG.

Most time, it's not about the brand, it's about style!... Fashion is simply what you buy while style is what you do with it, it's also about swag and confidence... throw on the most expensive brand and style it awfully and see how many rabid dogs would lose their owners, get furious and chase after you, lols.

Fashion and style is not restricted to particular persons, it's for every gender, every form and for every age. You are never too old or too young to look good. Make the world your runway.

Below are photos of celebs and  everyday people.

KAREN IGHO FLASHES BOOBS AT CLUB BOUNCER.

What happens on a Friday night when you're all prepped up and dabbed to the teeth to have some fun, only for you to get to the club and get turned away by the bouncer at the door?... you feel furious and embarrassed right?
Not to talk of if you're one top guy who's got so much swag and all the Mulaa (money) to spend.. it sure gets embarrassing especially when you are with some hot chick you are trying to impress!.. let alone a celebrity?... Ahh! in this case, it's the BBA Karen Igho, who doesn't know her, especially when the most visible and tempting item on her is her large boobs.

Well apparently this particular bouncer seemed not to care, as he refused her in, he has well been instructed to allow those with an identification card, but apparently Karen Igho showed up without one (thinking she could get in with just mere recognition), lol, and guess what? Dear Karen simply flashed her boobs at him... maybe for laughs or because she was pissed.... who knows?

How's that for "recognition" or "identification?".... Hahaa, this girl's crayzeey, no doubt!

FEMI WILLIAMS ART GALLERY EXHIBITION AT "THE CRIB" LIFESTYLE HOTEL,RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE, PORT-HARCOURT.

What is Art? It is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.

Such an emotional power. I've always been a lover of art, in whatever form they come in, whether in painting, music, literature or dance... it's simply magnificent and nature plays a big role in providing us with such influences and motivations.

The "Femi Williams Art Gallery Exhibition" is one of such. It is something for every lover of art, art collectors or enthusiasts who would like to bask in the ambiance of aesthetically appealing works.
Femi Ogu Williams, age 31 years, was born into art. His dad, Mr Ademola Williams is a textile artist and a professor of art in the University of Benin. His flair for art and creativity grew as he was always surrounded with them. Following the foot steps of his father he developed a flair for paintings, wood works and crafts etc. He works with all kinds of wood materials, from Malaina to Iroko, Pinewoods and Ebony. He also makes art inspired furniture and they are truly amazing!

The exhibit showcases works from different artists such as Femi Williams himself, Dada O. Adedayo, Moses Afeso, Festus Enofe, Ademola Williams, Sunny Lawani, Soji Yoloye, Oyelusi Olasunkami, Goddy Iwebeum.

This exhibit holds at one of Port Harcourts Classiest Lifestyle Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge, "THE CRIB", located at 17B William Jumbo Street by Creek Hospital, Old GRA, Port Harcourt.

"I AM THE JESUS OF NIGERIAN MUSIC"- JESSE JAGZ

The Nigerian entertainment industry has been making some changes and well... some step up's. Some of which have been quite impressive but to me, not overly satisfactory. I'm not been unappreciative or trying to criticize but there is a point to this. Oh well,  we have the body moving beats and the vibes that makes your feet go tapping, but the lyrics... the content.. or message passed across is just bland and too predictable.

If it's not about girls "shaking their baka/ "whine am like this and like that", "go down low" and some other random or meaningless phrases and terms, it's some artist trying to make a replica of another famous artists brand of music. It's almost like no one really tries to put in an effort lyrically (I'm tired, we are tired!)... everything goes!.. and that shouldn't be.

When do we start appreciating music with good, meaningful, intelligent and thoughtful content?

Well, my thoughts aside. Here we have Jesse Jagz, most of you know him. He used to be a member of chocolate city with his brother, Jude Abaga but quit earlier this year and has since started his own musical endeavour, called "Jese Jagz Nation". Jesse Jagz claims that he is the "Jesus of Nigerian Music", he further said that Nigerian music is "unintelligent" and that "even goats can dance to our music" (that's one funny statement there, but he isn't so far from the truth)

"My top 3 artistes are me,me and me. No one works harder than me" He says.

All things said, Can he make Nigerian music better? Can he be the proverbial savior of Naija music? Our fingers are crossed and waiting for the next he has to offer,  because with all this been said, he should be able to deliver...let's take it he's got something brewing in the oven.
