LOVE, SHOP, WEAR "LADY BIBA"

I love fashion, shopping and exploring brands, clothing lines, fashion retail owners, online shops and fashion mobile apps/sites ( It's therapeutic to me in some ways) and thanks to the internet as I no longer have to go from shop to shop, everything I can possibly search for or need are at my finger tip, That's the new Sci-fi age/generation we live in.

On one of my exploration, I ran into this fabulously chic, emerging designer, retail ready-to-wear line, "Lady Biba". The touch, cut and appeal of the dresses got me so glued I couldn't help but fall in love.

FASHION DESIGNER "VERANORA COUTURE" STUNNING UNVEIL AT PORT HARCOURT INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK 2014

Miss Vera Akporeha, the Creative Director and pull behind Port Harcourt's popular and rising brand 'VeraNORA Couture' made a stunning, mind-blowing and fascinating appearance at the just concluded Native & Vogue's Port Harcourt International Fashion Week.

The collection, named "Ewoma" (meaning 'Beautiful') which was unveiled at the event truly lived up to its name. I must say, this is one of the best so far that fashion cravers and lovers in Port Harcourt city including the rest of Nigeria has ever seen.

The collection featured beautiful Fabrics, styles and prints such as Lace, Kente, Meshs, Organza, Silk, Tulle, etc. The 'Ewoma Collection' is ultra-feminine with loads of charm and glamour. If you want to look and feel royal as well as beautiful, the 'Ewoma' Collection is one to go for.. We Love!

NICKI TO HOST MTV EUROPEAN AWARD IN GLASGOW

It has been confirmed that Hip-hop artist, Nicki Minaj would be hosting this year's MTV European Music Awards set to take place on Sunday, November 9 in Glasgow, Scotland. Not only would she be hosting the event but she has been nominated for 4 categories (Best hip-hop, Best Female, Best Fans and Best Look).

She excitedly announced this news on her twitter and Instagram accounts accompanied with a captivating and royal photo of her sitting on a throne.

Her last and newest release of her music video, 'Anaconda' is still seared and fresh in our heads... Y'all who has seen that video understand what i'm talking about. The video did very well break Vevo's record for getting most views within 24 hours of it's release.. how does 19.6 million hits sound?

TREND REPORT: THE FRINGE AFFAIR!

Loads of trends have been making a come-back this season... well, I see it as Fashion Re-cycling. Trends that rocked way back when and then are coming back with a twist and looking more chic as ever! One of those among many is the 'Fringe Trend'. 

Before I move forward let me take this moment to clarify a little. When I say 'Fringe', I ain't talking about the popular Fringe hairstyle or 'Bangs' as it's fondly called.. *moving on*

One thought or one thing reminiscent of this trend are the Cow-boy folks or the Coachella crowd, they've been spot-on this trend throughout history and through the end of time, haha!

Recently, we've been spotting lots of fringe/tassels on almost everything, from bags to shoes, dresses, bikinis, jackets and the way it's been inculpated in fashion pieces and looks, from formal wears, cocktail dresses, chic skirts... hmm, I might as well get on the fringe wagon, i'm guessing it's an affair i'd be sure to love ( and hey.. i'll be sure to post pics when i do :))

There are various ways to channel this boho style to make you stand out, if you're afraid to go all out on this trend, like my wimpy self, you can start minimally or small.. maybe pairing your formal outfit with a strap shoe with a fringe detail or simply with a fringe-detailed clutch. LANRE DA SILVIA AJAYI DEBUTS SS15 COLLECTION AT VOGUE TALENT IN MILAN, ITALY

If there is to mention one of the top, talented Nigerian Fashion Designers touching lives, making changes & positive contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian Fashion Industry, beautifying the African woman and embedded in the hearts and lips of many, Mrs Lanre Da Silvia Ajayi of  'Lda Couture' would be one of those sung and chanted from the lips of many. She is one phenomenal and inspiring woman.

The Vogue Talent Show is a yearly international fashion event that showcases and acts as a platform to display and support new talents and up-and-designers around the world and it is quite an honor for Mrs Lanre Da Silvia Ajayi to be handpicked as one of those to showcase their talent/collection at the 'Vogue Talent show' in Milan, Italy.

Mrs Lanre De Silvia Ajayi would be showcasing her SS15 Collection at the Palazzo Morando in Milan Italy, named the 'Delight Collection'.  Her collection according to her, was inspired by the famous Olumo Rock located in Abeokuta, the largest city and capital of Ogun State in Southwest Nigeria.

The collection promises to be a colorful, vibrant yet sensual piece with lots of dimension and textures as seen below.

CHRIS BROWN SERIOUS ABOUT SETTLING DOWN WITH GIRLFRIEND, KARREUCHE TRAN!

Yeah- yeah.. I'm sure you all know about the whole 'Chris-Karreuche' love story, Him going back and forth and blah- blah- blah!.. As much as we are tired of hearing the ups and downs, back & forth and the rest of the confused shenanigans of Chris brown and his love life, He also seems to be exhausted about it all.. (For Jah's sake, he has to be!)

It's been rumored that Chris Brown would love to marry, settle down and have kids with  Karreuche Tran some day. Friends say He is tired if the roller-coaster ride and knows Karreuche loves him to death (awwww..), and  he is tired of hurting dear Karreuche. Chris would love to do it right by first putting a bling on her fingers before having kids and well... live happily ever after!.. 

Well, that would be one helluva commitment but I'd say it's high time!.. What say you?

AMBER ROSE KISSING COURTNEY LOVE AT A POST-BET AWARD PARTY!

Amber Rose hung out with girlfriends, Paris Hilton and 49 year old, Courtney Love yesterday and shared a photo of her kissing Courtney Love on Instagram while hanging out at a post-BET party which she clearly described as random and 'epic'. We know Amber to be somewhat crazy and spontaneous in her ways but some fans sure expressed displeasure at the lip lock. 

ON THE SCENE: BET AWARDS STYLE BREAKDOWN (WHO WORE WHAT?)

When it comes to an event like this, it is important for everyone to look their best. A lot of whites and pastels were seen on the red carpet and some futuristic/metallic look. Michael Costello seemed to be the most worn  designer on the red carpet.

Below is a breakdown of some of the stars ensemble at the BET Awards. 

 

Kerry Washington was all pretty in florals on the red carpet. She was spot on in a Dolce & Gabbana dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and accessorized with a boxy clutch by Amanda Pearl and Rose Ark rings.

Michelle Williams bared some legs in an Olcay Gulsen spring/summer 2014 dress which featured a bustier cut and thigh high slit. She completed the look with a Swavroski clutch and Saint Lauren Paris shoes.

Keke Palmers attire seemed to be the most talked about... I guess she took everyone by surprise. She brought a lot of shine and futuristic appeal wearing an Alon Livne dress, $775 Saint Lauren Janis Platform Pumps and JLANI jewelry... and Oh! lets not forget her Tin-foil manicured nails to match with the outfit. Go Keke!

Nigerian Celebrity star artiste, Tiwa Savage did a sheer number in a blue Valerie Kovalska dress with gold mini clutch.

LUXE STYLE: KEKE PALMER KILLS IT IN AN ANTONIO BERARDI SATIN SUIT + HER BET AWARD RED CARPET LOOK

Oh, we can not get enough of the BET Weekend, keeping up with the rave, style, fashion, looks of attendees is unending but as usual I do picks on my favorite looks.

Keke Palmer attended Debra Lee's Pre-BET Awards show dinner in what i'd say a sculpted theme, she went wearing a $2,430 Antonio Berardi Satin Suit which featured contrasting black lapels, flexible sides with black vents and the cuffed suit pants which featured pleats along the front. She paired her outfit with a Manolo Blahnik black toe-cap heel.

And while we are still on about her Pre-BET Award dinner look she serves it hot and icey on the Red Carpet with this metallic, futuristic look.

STEPHANIE COKER WINS CUTEST OUTFIT AT BET AWARDS 2014

Stephanie Coker did look amazing representing Africa wearing a hand embellished print from African Fashion designer, "Iconic Vanity" (Spring/Summer 2014 collection). This On-Air Personality,TV presenter and VJ is not only talented and driven but also a hot fashionista. The award did come as a shock to her as she expressed her surprise on her Instagram page.
