Fashion Designer, Mary Katrantzou is one designer I simply love and adore. Her designs are very artistic and she pays attention to even the smallest detail. To me her designs and 'prints' especially are like worn artworks or crafts. The use of colors, textures, shapes and fabric to create the most complex, yet intricate, desirable, flattering and appealing apparels is totally MIND-BLOWING. Most times I can not help but wonder what really goes on in her mind when she thinks of all these designs or "creations" as I fondly call it.
Well, some of you might be taken aback as to who this lady really is. Let me give you a brief biography of this talented lady.
Mary Katrantzou was born in Athens, Greece in 1983, Her mother loved and worked as an Interior designer and her father, Textile design, so her appreciation for applied design or art started right from an early age. Much later, she shifted her direction from textile design to womenswear but this time with a focus on print and particularly took an interest in the way printed textiles can change the shape of a woman's body. Mary Katrantzou pushes boundaries & dares to go where no other would think possible!
