STYLE INSPIRATION: STAFANI MILANO

I'm inspired by lots of things.. Fashion been one and I love those who express their selves through fashion or Art.
Funny enough these two (Fashion and Art) ain't so distinct from each other. In fact, to me "Fashion" is "Art".

Art is a huge part of me and is what drives me.. If that's what drives you, in which ever way, whether painting, styling, singing, etc then its perfectly okay to go with it.

Enough with the long talks. Today's style inspiration is Stafani Milano. Most times we see pieces or even have them but don't know what to do with them or style them.

Here's some fashion inspiration for your eyes and mind... We call it....

                                                               "FREEDOM!"
You have that over sized baseball '86' tee or number tee? Here's a way to style it and be street chic!

                                               "BALLING WITH NO SWEATS"
Who told you you can't be street dope and feminine at the same time? (Raised eyebrows).. Let the fitted sweat pants and the strap heels do the talking.

                                                             "LET'S PLAY DARE!"
Thigh high open slit dress is a way to show some legs, love this Cleopatra inspired dress coz its covered up yet daring and sexy! Dare to be daring in a 'thigh high strap gladiator shoes'.. Perfect!

                                                       "VERY WELL PLAID"
We love the way she rocked this casual look.. A cool tee wt a moto biker jacket, ripped denim short and a Plaid shirt to spice it all up..well played!

                                                    "REAL ANIMAL INSTINCTS"
Y'all who know me well knows i'm a sucker for animal prints. Love the way she paired it with neutrals.. Simply staying in tune with nature (this is one perfect way to wear that print in your closet). And that fur bag?.. Totally gorgeous.

                                                                 "LAID BACK"
Shirt dresses is another cool fashion trend.. I hope it stays around much much longer.

                                                                "ME MOCHA"
Love this shade of brown.. Compliments a dark toned lady rightly. The sweat long sleeve dress is one way to stay warm and sexy during the "cold" season.

This Maxi wrapped open thigh skirt is one special find.. Do you know it's H&M?

                                                               "ROCK STEADY"
Graphic tee, Biker jacket with those Shoes?... *love*

                                                               "SHIRT ME OUT!"
That triangle shaped clutch just gives this lovely number a Vava Voom!

                                                               "JERSILICIOUS"
Every girl should own at least oneJersey top.. You can always dress it up or dress it down.

                                                                          "PLAY"
I love this outfit, it's playful yet serious looking.. and ooh, the animal print jacket and the infamous boyfriend jean was done perfectly with the cool pink tee.

Well, it's a wrap! I hope you were inspired? To see more of her style, visit: www.smfashionology.com

NIGERIAN CELEBS AT THE 2014 GRAMMY AWARDS (THE HUSTLE)

Well, well.. It's sweet for one to indulge in social functions and all especially when you are in the entertainment industry.. so kudos!
But then I thought, where they been nominated for something or what?.. and then a devoted reader of the blog said "It's the hustle!"

Is it??...

Well, as much as these Naija artists attended this event, my interest is "did they look smashing or not?" .. In the same way we expect a lot from the Hollywood celebs is also the same way we require our celebs/artists to bring in their A-game (whether invited or not).

The Grammy which took place on the 26th of January is the coming together of the Creme de la Cremes and the recognition of their talents, efforts and contribution in the world of entertainment, music, etc. So if our Naija artists did go there to put up a front or to represent the face of Nigeria we'd want to know if they did us proud or not, yeah?

We had Kcee, Seyi Shay, Harry Songs, Dencia, Julius Agwu, etc.

Below are photos.

Here we have Kcee of 'Limpopo' and Harry Songz. Both are doing the tuxedo but is this a win?.. Kcee for one didn't get it right, wrong choice of colors and fabric texture.. one would have thought he was a pimp. His stylist needs to get a whooping for this.

Harry Songs did it fairly well, what's missing is the confidence that goes with wearing that ensemble.

My-my!.. Dayo Adeneye of "Kennys Music Record" looks absolutely stunning in that Red.. totally did it right.. and the two gorgeous ladies by his sides also looked amazing.. my fave is the lady on the right, with the thigh-high open slit embellished dress.

Okay Dencia, we love the hair, we love the jumpsuit (we totally get it and we can see you shine brightly), but pairing it with that heel is just too much.. It's the Grammy, not a 'Mermaid themed Party'...if we where to give you a '7', you just dropped down to '-1'..

The lovely 'Seyi Shay'.. just doing it right, love the dress.. and so much of it's sexiness is behind...nice cut, frames you well and you did us well. :)

We love comedian, Julius Agwu's two-piece (second to the left), the suede bow tie just tops it up.. He did good.

A-LIST MEN & WOMEN'S FASHION AT THE 2014 GRAMMY AWARDS.

The annual celebration and recognition of good works, talents and efforts is one of the major social event in the entertainment world, and as usual everyone is expected to bring in their A-game and look their best (both on and off the red carpet)

And just as we know it, we look forward to seeing the drop-dead gorgeous looks of each celeb on the Red Carpet... but as usual not everybody gets it right. Below are few pictures of the Grammy looks.

We love the Micheal Costello dress, quite sexy and compliments her body, but its a big "NO" for both hair and makeup.. looks like she was drunk (waaay too 'drunk in love'.. if that's the look she was aiming for) or like she staggered in. Last year's grammy look was much better Bey!

"The bigger the belly, the better" she said while chatting with E! on the red carpet, and hell yeah, she sure looks stunning in this Emilio Pucci dress as she showed off her Baby bump! (more "Body Party")

Looking like a musical fairy princess/ballerina, Katy Perry took this gauzy couture Valentino gown look off the runway and into the red carpet. She sure looks lovely especially with that up-do hair style.

Looking dapper in these funky retro threads.. we love this number on Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Perfect Tuxedo look. A big thumbs-up for this hip-hop duo.

Someone has got to bring in the "Old Hollywood glamor" and Miranda Lambert did, she looks stunning with this low V-neck dress. compliments her figure and color. It's a Win!

She's probably earned the right to sport whatever she wants buh what do you think about this men's wear look Madonna (55 years old) sported?... Heads up!.. her son picked the outfit for her.

Is this a 'Yay' or 'Nay?'.. Paris Hilton decided to go all white with the sheer panel look just like Beyonce. I'm not so much of a fan of the paneling coz it looks sort of tacky buh i'll give it a "+" for the hair-do.

Who would have believed that this time last year she was 1 month away from giving birth to their son "Sebastian". She definitely looks super sexy as a mum, her husband Wiz Khalifa also looks dapper. We love this low-cut form fitting gold gown and Wiz's silk buttoned-up suit.

Taylor! Taylor!... We love this Gucci  metallic chain mail dress which according to her was like "wearing a suit of armor"... buh well, these are the sacrifices we make for fashion!

He's got the looks and style, in fact he is a 'Fashion killer" and is always on point, but why he showed up with that funny looking hat, over sized and tall enough to hide 'Marge Simpsons' hair beats me.. Infact "Stewie" of Family Guy can fit in there!

 One word is enough.. "Boring!"

'Fashion police' co-host, Kelly Osbourne rocked this all black embellished dress with an over flowing cape.. nice dress but the hair throws it off a little.

"Say Whaaat??"... At first I thought that was a whistle hanging down her neck.. seriously, the red ribbon adds little or nothing to the already horrible witch-hunter's outfit..

Patent leather pants and boots to match from Saint Laurent.. and oh, the charcoal blazer and the hair-do.. what do you think?.. feels sorta mismatched to me though.

Yet another pant-suit buh this time around all "solid-white".. and she's doing it well with the cowboy hat and the cane. Now this is a much better look on her. She wore this on stage.

Well here you have it.. just a few of the so many looks on the grammy awards red carpet.. we wouldn't get any sleep if we where to review all of them, would we? What looks are your favorites? Please leave comments below..

AALIYAH'S POST-HUMOUS BIRTHDAY!

I remembered singing and rocking to her song while I was younger. Hit tracks such as "More than a woman", "I miss you", "Try again", "We need a resolution", were my favourites. We loved Aaliyah, her talent was quite exceptional and she was one of such beauty and talent who was just coming into her own and her loss was quite devastating.

R&B star/singer, Aaliyah as we remembered, died in a plane crash along with 8 others in the Bahamas on August 25,2001 when she was just 22 years old just after she was done filming the music video "Rock the Boat".

It's Happy 34th "Post-humous" Birthday to Aaliyah still. Fans, Stars, friends and family took to celebrating and remembering the life of Aaliyah post humously on wednesday via twitter and made "Aaliyah" one of the top trending topics on social networking sites.

"We miss you Aaliyah! It's not a day go pass we don't think of u and how your music still have an impact on the world! RIP baby girl."  Missy Elliot posted on Twitter as a tribute message to a beloved friend.

Queen B, Justin Timberland (who produced her music), Hayden Williams, etc also paid their tribute by posting photos.

What was your fondest/favorite memories or song of Aaliyah? Where you one of those rocking the baggy jeans and  side swept bangs with boxer shorts peeking out?... Well, I was! :)

You remain "Forever Young" in our hearts, Rest in Peace, Aaliyah!

ITS #TBT FOR QUEEN B!

Ever wondered what the hash-tagged acronym "#Tbt" meant?.. Well, it means "Throwback Thursday".

The "throwback Thursday" trend seems to be the Thursday's ritual of most social media fanatics. It's that one moment or day of the week where people reminisce on moments either fun or special to them through pictures.

And hey, Mama B (Queen B) decided to have this special laid back moment. Posting pictures of her from wayyy back to date, you can perceive she's sure come a long way and we all can say "ooh, i remember Bey looked like this in that video, movie or Mag".

Well if I was Queen B and i've achieved so much as she has... Hell, I'd be having a helluva "Backflip Thursday", lol.
